I too have been asking for this feature for years. It always seemed so simple in theory to me. Bye bye to annoying selective sync.

Now. Only one more feature for Dropbox to rule the world. Let me share isolated sub folders with people. Not a link, but an actual shared folder that is a sub folder of a root folder and not have to give access to the patent folders. Again, simple in theory.
